INEC DECLARED GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION IN OSUN INCONCLUSIVE

At about 2 pm on Sunday, September 23, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)declared the gubernatorial election in Osun state as inconclusive.

The electoral body through its returning officer, Adeola Fuwap, said that the election was declared inconclusive because while the difference between the two leadingparties is 353, the number of cancelled votes is higher than the margin between the top candidates.However, Nigerians from all walks of life have reacted the the cancellation by the electoral body. OfficialSome of the Nigerians while they agree that the law must take its course in such situation other rolled out possible analysis for different political parties to secure a win at the supplementary election.Others also believe that the old tricks used by Nigerian politicians to win elections are no longer working or favorable.
